Hola Daniel. Soy un antiguo amigo del grupo de A. Lam + , que guitareabamos canciones de los Beatles en San Antonio y Surquillo. Que alegria saber de ti y de tu desarrollo musical. Antonio siempre te mencionaba y hasta me mando una canción ¨love at last¨ que creó y grabo con sus amigos de Jazz Express. Veo que en tu web figura el nombre de A.Lam, el mio y el de Oscar Liendo, asicomo tambien de Beto Martinez, los hermanos Pereyra y los Corazao. Un fuerte abrazo por esos tiempos idos y un pensamiento por nuestro entrañable y común amigo que nos tomara la delantera.

Pocas veces se han visto reflejados los esfuerzos que se han llevado a cabo para la Conservación del patrimonio inmaterial en Perú. Este es un ingrediente primordial de cada cultura y Daniel ha contribuido con este hecho al recuperar en un acucioso estudio y edición musical una muestra de la gran diversidad de estilos regionales de violín en nuestro país. Felicitaciones querido amigo por el desafío y esfuerzo de transformar este patrimonio inmaterial en material como testimonio y expresión cultural vivos que quedarán fijados en el espacio y en el tiempo…

I finally had a chance to listen to your CD last night without distraction. I played it over and over and was stunned! This morning I played it all again and read the notes in detail. I already wrote you with intial congratulations, but this message goes WAY beyone that! This CD project is finely crafted, beautifully played, full of love and respect and just plain fabulous. I had to get out my old Estudiantina tapes after listening to the incredibly beautiful last cut , : Sika Sika Saranakamaste". I love that kind of ensemble, even though the tape I have is from another region. When you are ready to get paid those Big Bucks as a director of an estudiantina group here in the US, please sign me up for the violin section.!!! Great job with all cuts!!

Al escuchar este CD, uno se queda sin palabras, los pensamientos no tienen lugar para dar paso a la profundidad de la experiencia. Al recuperarse, uno esta repleto de tantos detalles y memorias. Solo queda asimilar la experiencia y dejar que las emociones se ordenen.
Es evidente que aquí hay un trabajo de muchos años, una búsqueda por encontrar un vehiculo familiar para comunicar y con entereza recuperar la expresión con una intención completa. Aquí hay una intensión ethnomusical profunda. Aquí se encuentra al músico, al investigador, al antropólogo de corazón, al detallado profesional, al Maestro y amigo de siempre.
Felicitaciones y gracias por regalarnos nuevas muestras de la diversidad, riqueza, y complejidad de tu creatividad.

He estado escuchando algunos pasajes de tu nuevo CD. De verdad que tu musica me ha emocionado y conmovido increiblemente,tal y como siempre la he sentido cuando tuve la oportunidad de escucharla de esos viejos y sabios musicos andinos...tan nuestros...Es una musica visceral maestro, que te llega hasta el alma...Son todos ustedes, los musicos que la ejecutan unos grandes y admirables musicos...Siempre les digo a mis hijos que tengo un gran amigo que es un virtuoso musico, refiriendome a ti porsupuesto, esta es una prueba irrefutable de ello.
